DAEdALUS and IsoDAR are neutrino research programs based on "decay-at-rest" sources driven by state-of-the-art cyclotrons. These cyclotrons are also under development for production of radio-isotopes and as accelerator driven systems for thorium reactors. As a result, DAEdALUS and IsoDAR are unusual collaborations between neutrino physics and industry. This talk will discuss why neutrino physics needs these cyclotrons and our progress toward realizing the machines from an accelerator scientist’s point of view
