It is becoming increasingly plausible that the Higgs mechanism in the context of the Standard Model provides the origin of gauge boson and charged fermion masses, as tested through the decays of the Goldstone-Higgs-Weinberg boson. I argue that the Left-Right symmetric theory does an analogous job for neutrino. This talk provides a theoretical basis for a more general and a more phenomenological discussion of the colloquium.
