I am Simone Marciano, and I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Physics with honors from the University of Rome, La Sapienza. My passion for neutrino physics led me to pursue a PhD at the University of RomaTre under the supervision of Prof. D. Meloni, where I focused on the fundamental origins of neutrino masses and mixing, mainly from a model-building perspective. During my PhD, I explored Beyond Standard Model (BSM) theories and their possible connections to open questions such as Dark Matter and the baryon asymmetry of the Universe. Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher at CSIC, working at the Instituto de Física Corpuscular. My research focuses on model building and the phenomenology of neutrinos, BSM physics, and Dark Matter.
