Sabor y Origen de la Materia
SOM (We are) is one of the leading theoretical particle physics groups in Spain, composed of members from the Institute of Corpuscular Physics (IFIC) at the University of Valencia and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). Our team is formed by 13 senior researchers, as well as a large number of postdoctoral fellows and PhD students, all dedicated to cutting-edge research in the field of theoretical particle physics.
Our group conducts a comprehensive research program in flavor physics with active work in Lattice QCD, neutrino phenomenology, leptogenesis, and Beyond Standard Model (BSM) physics. We are proud to be one of the nodes in the HIDDeN network and have been integral members of significant collaborations in high-energy phenomenology, such as Invisibles and Elusives. Our research also spans cosmology, fundamental physics, and the application of machine learning techniques. Additionally, we are recipients of numerous national and regional projects, underscoring the broad support and recognition for our research endeavors.
SOM is very active presence within the institute, organizing a significant number of events and seminars at IFIC.
