Chiral anomalies are dear to the heart of the high energy physicist. They explain otherwise forbidden decays and constrain
theories. But in recent years it has turned out that anomalies also play a major role in quantum many body physics from the
quark gluon plasma to the electronics of advanced materials. I will review the theory of anomalies in matter and the related
transport phenomena, the chiral magnetic, chiral vortical and anomalous Hall effect.
